Ads, Countdown and Short Links

Ad zones

Paste your ad code (for example Google AdSense) into the zones in Settings → Advertising:

• Header ad

• Above download form and Below download form

• Results page

• Countdown page

• Footer ad

Empty zones are not shown.

Countdown page

Set Download countdown (seconds) in Settings → Monetization to show a countdown page, with the countdown ad zone, before each download. 0 turns it off. The wait is checked on the server, so it cannot be skipped.

Short links

Turn on Monetize download links with a URL shortener in Settings → Monetization, choose bc.vc or shorte.st and enter your API key (and your user ID for bc.vc). Visitors pass through the short link once before their download starts.

Bandwidth saving mode

Bandwidth saving mode sends visitors straight to the platform's file instead of streaming it through your server. It saves bandwidth, but some platforms (for example YouTube) may block direct links, and "video with sound" options that are joined on your server are not offered.

You can also sell access to the REST API with per-key limits (see Using the REST API).
